Training & Workshops

As part of our efforts to provide training and education opportunities in the community we are planning to offer a number of programmes from September 2011.

These programmes will be facilitated by the Community Education Service.

Here is a listing of the programmes that will be offered initially:

Life Skills and Hobby Programmes
• Art
• Flower Arranging
• Woodwork
• Cookery and Nutrition
• Personnel and Career Development
• Back to education refresher course – Communication, Maths, It Skills
• Everyday Computers
• Community Memories – compile memories and publish into booklet for distribution throughout the community


Certified Programmes

• After School Support Education and Training Programmes (ASSET)
(Certificate of attendance form Mary immaculate College)

• IT Skills (FETAC level 2 or 3)

• Craft –Woodwork, Ceramics, Textiles, Design ( FETAC level 3)

• Childcare  (FETAC level 3 and 5)

• Leaving Certificate/ Junior Certificate ( individual subjects)

• Manual Bookkeeping


The above programmes require a minimum number of participants to enroll before the programme can commence.
